UPGRADE FOR URS FILMDECKS (3139 / 3140 / 3141)

DESCRIPTION OF MODIFICATION

This modification kit replaces the light bulb used for the scanner synchronization and it's circuit board with a solid state LED and a new pcb. Frequent burn-out of the bulb and high parts cost are eliminated, while the LED will have virtually unlimited life and never needs to be replaced again.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

The PCB SYPRI (Gretag p/n 31.96.07) is a high cost part and needs replacement when the bulb burns out. Poor scanner synchronization may result in bad scans and results in paper waste and lost time for re-dos.

ADVANTAGES OF THE URS FILM DECK MODIFICATION KIT

Reduced (ONE-TIME !) replacement cost. Maintenance eliminated after installation of kit. Consistent quality because scanner alignment stays the same once modification is installed.
