OVERVIEW

Many Years of experience in Printer QA on 3141 Printers are available in this Technical Manual, which contains over 80 pages of unique documentation. Emphasis of this document is based on understanding the Operation of the Gretag programs 8.3x and 8.40x.

PURPOSE

The PROGRAM 8.30 QA INFORMATION Guide was created to provide Quality Control Personnel working with Gretag 3141 Printers with documentation that will provide:

• Additional insight into Printer Hardware with emphasis on QA related issues (Lamphouse, Filter Unit, Scanner).
• Understanding of Paper Matrix and Basic Slope procedures.
• Inside information on the operation of program 8.30
• Detailed recommendations for Film Channel setups.
• Information on how to install Program 8.30 (single and multiple printers).
• Information on how to use available tools (TROC, TRIC, TROD etc.)
• Detailed explanations and troubleshooting hints for all computer messages.

The information contained in this book is complementary to the Gretag Operating Manual for program 8.30 and has much explanatory information on many subjects (not covered in the Gretag manual). Emphasis of this manual is on understanding available commands and procedures rather than the step by step approach of the Operating Manual.
