DESCRIPTION OF MODIFICATION

This kit eliminates the troublesome Micro-switches used as notch sensors in the Filmdeck. The existing switches are used both to sense notches and return the sensing levers, which results in spring pressures which vary considerably over the life expectancy of the switch, causing inconsistent sensing points. Switch life is also very poor, with switch failures occuring approximately every 25,000 film rolls.

PROBLEM with MICROSWITCHES

Synch Failures (light and dark prints) resulting in makeovers and paper waste. Black Lines (misaligned frames) resulting in make overs, possibly re-does of whole batches. Unreliable QC Tests because the negative is not registered exactly the same each time (scanning discrepancies exist).
