FINISys, Inc. was first established in 1991. Its owner and chief engineering designer, Rolf Ganahl, has had fifteen yearss experience in the photo finishing industry, and almost as many years in the computer industry, giving him a keen understanding of problems on both ends of the spectrum, both the computer generated problems and those that are mechanically controlled. As well as these attributes, Rolf has a firm understanding for color principles in Photo Finishing and computer Imaging.
IMPROVED PHOTO FINISHING is FINISys, Inc.s major goal. Improving quality and efficiency in photo finishing labs, reducing waste, increasing profits, and lowering costs are our means to achieving that goal. We try to keep the cost of our products as low as possible, while helping you achieve considerable savings through increased reliability and/or performance.
We are very proud to have introduced:
In 1993, the Turbo (speed up) Kit for the Gretag 3141 and 3140 printers, which increased production in most labs where it was installed by from 10% in most cases, to as much as 15%, in some cases. (Marketed by Gretag Imaging.)
And, in 1995, we introduced the SCANNER UPGRADE for the Gretag 3140 and 3141 printers, which created uniform densities in prints, reduced printing from 30 or more film channels to about 8, and for the first time allowed all printers, not only in a single lab, but across the country to be set to one quality control standard.
Now we are getting ready to introduce the FINISys, Inc. ABS, or PAPER TRANSPORT ANTI "BOMB" SYSTEM. It was noticed that massive amounts of paper is being thrown away every day in photo finishing labs. Our new ABS will help eliminate paper waste, as well as detecting conditions that cause high maintenance bills, such as the the film winder motor, and problems caused by paper jams and operator errors. Another new product is the BMC "INTERFACE PROBLEMS" FIX.
In order take full advantage of Rolfs photo finishing knowledge, we offer a number of courses designed to further understanding of color, printer maintenance and trouble shooting techniques in the photo finishing industry. In fact, one of our newest products offers the advantage of an on-site professional without the cost. Utilizing Rolfs extensive knowledge of the Gretag 3141 Printers, we are offering the 3141 TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE, which outlines common, and not so common, problems and their solutions in an accessible way for any engineer. Another publication available is the PROGRAM 8.3x QA INFORMATION GUIDE.
In addition to all of the above, we offer a number of inexpensive products that will make life in your photo lab more predictable. AND, if you will look under the "Bulletins" sections of our WEB PAGE, you will find some valuable tips that we offer free of charge to help improve your photo finishing.
