OVERVIEW

16 Years of experience in Printer Maintenance and Troubleshooting on 3141 Printers are available in this Technical Manual. Over 100 pages of unique documentation are contained in this book.

PURPOSE

The 3141 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE was created to provide Service Engineers engaged in servicing Gretag 3141 Printers with additional documentation that will:

• Provide Functional Block Diagrams for all the Printer Assemblies
• Provide Wiring Diagrams (instead of having to use the Signal Charts).
• Provide detailed explanations and troubleshooting hints for all computer messages.
• Provide detailed information for troubleshooting problems thatdo not have an indication at the Computer.
• Documents adjustments not contained in the Service Manual.

The 3141 Troubleshooting Guide provides Block diagrams that allow Service Engineers to approach problems with much better understanding than provided by the "page by page" approach when using the service manual. It can also serve as study guide for service personnel not fully trained on the printer.
